“Inconvenient History” Back in Print

For many years, printed editions of CODOH’s online periodical Inconvenient History have been unavailable. After CODOH’s core meltdown this past winter, all contents posted on CODOH’s library website, Inconvenient History‘s contributions included, needed to be resurrected, checked, reformatted, and edited. Wile we were at it, we decided to use that effort to put this fine periodical back in print.

This project is an ongoing effort. Today, we posted the first volume of 2009. The second is almost ready to go, and we just started working on Volume 3 of 2011. We hope to be able to launch one volume every week. With 15 volumes to cover, that means that they should all be back in print some 14 weeks from now, hence by the end of July, give or take a week or two, and provided that nothing else intervenes. But considering that other projects will also need some attention on occasion, we’ve set the goal to have it all done by the end of 2024 at the latest.

Note that the pagination in these new editions are different than in the first edition. After so many software upgrades, our Word files would not reproduce the same pagination, and the PDF files we had were not fit for printing. Therefore, we are producing all print files from scratch, along the way greatly improving image quality and layout, fixing errors when we catch them, and updating internet links to revisionist resources, where possible. All in all, these new editions are vastly improved. We are sure you will enjoy them!
